Ranking March 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

6. Free Fire

RottenTomatoes Score: 81% (7.0/10)

Box Office: No financials available yet, though it seems likely that, driven by the impressive cast, Ben Wheatley's latest shouldn't have much trouble recouping its $10 million in the long run, be it at the cinema or at home.

Verdict: Though not among Wheatley's better or more ambitious efforts, Free Fire is an entertaining low-fi action thriller, aided immeasurably by the fantastically hilarious work of Sharlto Copley and Armie Hammer in particular.

It owes way, way too much to Reservoir Dogs and the action is sometimes disorientatingly staged (which you can certainly argue is partly the point), but it's a fun, no-frills chamber piece with snazzy suits, great beards and better guns.
