Verdict: Netflix continues to expand their reliably compelling slate of glossy documentaries with this entertaining warts-and-all tribute to music legend Quincy Jones.

Despite being co-directed by his daughter, actress Rashida Jones, there's surprisingly little whiff of hagiography throughout, and the film doesn't shy away from the rougher aspects of the icon's history.

At the same time, it is a mostly affectionate testament to his tremendous influence on shaping the music industry over the last six (!) decades, even if a man of his stature probably deserves his own mini-series rather than a mere two-hour film.

Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes). General video game, TV and film nut. Occasional sports fan. Full time loon.
