Ranking The X-Men Movie Villains - From Worst To Best
8. Silver Samurai
Wolverines second solo outing, The Wolverine, should have been a brilliant ride; after the series hadreturned to form in the previous film X-Men: First Class, this promised to be everything that X-Men Origins wasnt. Sadly, while it wasnt as much of a mess as that film, it didnt reach the heights that we hoped and was all-round pretty forgettable. Equally forgettable was the films main villain; a robotic suit of armour known as the Silver Samurai. On paper it's a great idea (indeed, the character is a popular one from the comics) - a whole suit of adamantium seems like the perfect adversary for Wolverine and his claws. The villain revealed to be inside it Japanese businessman, Yashida also has potential, with a particularly interesting backstory; he was once saved by Logan in Nagasaki, but now envies his immortality. However, in execution, it doesn't really come together and the end result is a sadly flavourless villain.
