7. Not Enough Daniel - Karate Kid: Legends

In theory Karate Kid: Legends should've been a basically unscrewupable concept - a new Karate Kid movie which unites the original era with the 2010 remake fronted by Jackie Chan.

And while the marketing largely suggested that Legends was going to deliver a harmonious, nostalgia-soaked meet-up between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Mr. Han (Chan), the final film bafflingly struggled to fulfil that easy brief.

The primary issue is that Daniel is off-screen for the first two acts of the movie, only showing up almost a full hour into the 94-minute film.

As a result Daniel has scarcely little screen time, and there's not much room for him to have many meaningful interactions with Mr. Han.

All in all Karate Kid: Legends ended up feeling like a half-hearted subplot in another movie - a weirdly disinterested failure to capitalise on the obvious appeal of bringing both Karate Kid eras together under one roof.
