12. Getting Stallone For Just ONE Day - Armor

Armor Sylvester Stallone
Lionsgate

Armor is yet another of the countless disposable "geezer teaser" direct-to-VOD action flicks which Sylvester Stallone finds himself starring in these days.

Though "starring" is a rather generous description of what Sly does in this one, given that he shows up for just about the legal bare minimum of screen time possible for his mug to be plastered on the film's poster.

When the film was released in late 2024, it was reported that Stallone was actually only on set for a single day, for which he was paid an outrageous $3.5 million.

The result is not only that Stallone's villainous thief Rook is only on screen for about 15 minutes, but that he spends most of the movie standing on the same stretch of road staring menacingly into the distance, all while the filmmakers have to awkwardly cut around his obvious lack of presence during many scenes.

There was probably never a reality where Armor was a genuinely good film, but with a more engaged lead actor willing to put at least a few days' graft in, it surely would've avoided a 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
