10. Lee Cronin's The Mummy
Lee Cronin's The Mummy is another recent horror film with many praise-worthy aspects, but the sheer number of head-scratching choices they're up against make it tough to justify a second sit.
There's certainly an appreciable nastiness to Cronin's clearly Evil Dead-coded take on the crusty IP, but this is offset at every turn by both the abundance of mind-bogglingly questionable character decisions, and especially the film's brutal 132-minute runtime.
Check pretty much any lukewarm or negative review of the movie and there's likely to be a complaint about its lack of editorial restraint, that with a good half-hour cleaved away this would be a much stronger, tighter, pacier piece of work.
As it stands, it's tough to want to commit over two hours of your life to revisiting a film that's so aggressively rough around the edges - all while having little respect for your time.
