5. Van Wilder - Van Wilder
Relying on a tired concept and equally reliant on the National Lampoon brand, this teen comedy sees Reynolds as the eponymous Van Wilder: a perennially in-college loser who just so happens to be a winner at organising a thumping party on campus. The result is a less than funny sex romp, that sees this hero of sorts learning the error of his ways and winning the affections of a surprisingly low key Tara Reid. Showing nothing of the slacker charm of his early - and underrated - turn in ABC's short-lived Two Guys And A Girl, Reynolds seems to have learnt the error of his ways and picked his scripts a little more wisely these days. But he will always have Van Wilder on his CV. Avoid like you would a punch bowl spiked with absinthe.
