Sean Bean: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

And 5 That Sucked...

5. Christopher Da Silva - Silent Hill (2006)

It's been well acknowledged that films based on video game are not a good thing for the world and this adaptation of the survival horror game does nothing to upset that stereotype. Although Silent Hill was actually praised for it's technical effects, the acting was panned for their wooden performances in reaction to things that should have been terrifying. Bean was not left out of this criticism - his similarly static performance may have been due to the absurd script and story he was working with, but, even so, it's hard to believe that this is the same Bean who is capable of such award winning performances. He failed to make any impression whatsoever with the character with it being labelled 'pointless' while many were questioning why on earth a man with the last name Da Silva living in America still has an English accent. A bizarre film with a similarly out of place Bean.
