It shouldn't have surprised anyone that the reimagining of seasonal slasher Silent Night, Deadly Night touted a far softer tone than the incredibly abrasive, mean, and nasty original.

Serial killer protagonist Billy Chapman (Rohan Campbell) is made measures more sympathetic here considering that he only tends to kill "bad" people, and the ultimate expression of this is his mid-film rampage against a gathering of neo-Nazis.

That's right, Billy finds a group of literal Nazis, kitted out in full-on regalia, having a secret Christmas party where they discuss the apparent virtues of a "white power Christmas."

And so, Billy grabs his trusty axe and goes about dispatching the entire gathering of several dozen Nazi Santas in satisfyingly gory fashion.

He's inadvertently aided by the party's panicking mistress, who starts blind-firing a machine gun in the vicinity and ends up killing a whole ton of her own flock - before Billy decapitates her, naturally.

With the state of the world being what it is right now, writer-director Mike P. Nelson clearly read the room and decided to have some cathartic fun with it.
