"I'm putting together a crew." Is there a more jarring line doing the rounds in modern blockbusters these days than this one?

Seriously. This line, and several variations of this line, have overstayed their welcome to the point that its inclusion here feels on the verge of parody (especially when you have a sardonic-looking Woody Harrelson delivering it).

We've heard it in the Fast and Furious movies, Inglourious Basterds, the latest Justice League flick, and a ton of other comic book movies - including X-Men Origins: Wolverine - to the extent it's lost any sense of the "hey, cool!' it once had.

It's enough to have you worrying about the rest of the script, even if it was penned by Empire Strikes Back screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and his son, Jake. Disney have the capacity to make any movie they want, so it's a shame that we're still hearing dialogue cues as obvious as this one. Here's hoping that it's an isolated incident, or that it was shot for use in the trailer only.
