6. Does Qi'ra Die?

Though Solo's cast is made up of many familiar characters whose fates are guaranteed, the most curious and high-profile new face is unquestionably Qi'ra, Han's apparent childhood friend and love interest.

Given her clear absence in Han's later life, are we to assume she's dead by the end of the movie, or is there another explanation?

Prediction: Killing her would be the obvious route to take, but with the likelihood that two more of these movies will be released in the near-future, there's certainly no rush to ice her just yet.

Then again, the prospect of a Han-Chewie buddy movie trilogy is so much more intriguing than Han and Qi'ra, so it also wouldn't be remotely shocking if she sacrificed herself to save Han in the climax.

The most likely scenario, and the most sensible from both a creative and business perspective, is to have Qi'ra depart on a different path to Han by the end of the movie. This would leave the door open for her to return in a future Solo movie without hogging screen time audiences would prefer to see shared between Han and Chewie.

She survives...probably? But she'll probably die in a future film.
