13. So... Where Did Han Learn Shyriiwook?!

As is immediately established in the film's first act, Han is effectively your typical loner oprhan type, brought up in a hostile environment that taught him to be tough and resilient and to be a dreamer seeking a means to better himself. Basically, he was Rey before she was and it's nice to have that link explicitly explored.

Sadly, him being couped up on Corellia and always looking to the sky would have made him a particularly insular sort of person (through ignorance rather than will), which would probably have fed his intrepid spirit in the future. What it couldn't possibly have done is taught him who to speak Shyriiwook.

So when exactly did he manage to learn to converse with Wookiees exactly? Or was it just too handy a skill to leave out, even without the story behind it?
