6. It Will Introduce Ms Marvel

The Rumour

Despite Ms Marvel debuting in Phase 4 on her own Disney+ show (which will possibly prove to be a backdoor reboot gateway for Inhumans, apparently), she might actually turn up first in Spider-Man 3.

WGTC posted a rumour suggesting that Spider-Man will team up with another hero in his third stand-alone outing, and that the candidates for the team-up are Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel.

Response

The other two are surely unlikely, what with one being a mystical character and the other cosmic - and Peter's story is apparently tied very closely to his home and not to a broader Avengers story - but Ms Marvel might be more interesting and more viable. It would also redesign Peter as the senior hero of the dynamic, which might be a nice riff on what we've seen already too.
