7. The Sinister Six Will Appear

The Rumour

Having been set up for their own spin-off movie from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (which obviously crashed into the dirt like a dart), The Sinister Six might be getting another bite of the cherry in Spider-Man 3.

That seems to be the hint from Spidey producer Amy Pascal who took part in the special features of Spider-Man: Far From Home’s home video release and teased the following:

All of these villains that we now have in our universe happen to be characters that are in the Sinister Six. There may be something that happens with that.

There's no way that means nothing.

We've known for a while that Sony want to make a Sinister Six movie, but the idea of it happening in the MCU is a more compelling one entirely. But more logically, it would fit that Marvel would use the villainous crew as a PART of Spider-Man 3's plot, rather than having their own movie. After all, the MCU hasn't done villain movies yet and while Loki is coming, there's a distinction between that and a straight-up bad guy flick.

More intriguing is the suggestion that the Sinister Six will be used as a tool by a bigger bad hiding behind a legitimate front to try and take Spider-Man out of the picture...
