Spider-Man: Far From Home - 10 Biggest Questions It Leaves Unanswered
3. Are Aunt May & Happy Together Or Not?
One of the more hilarious subplots in the movie teases a possible romance between Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), though a closing scene clearly implies that Happy's far more eager about it than May is.
Is this ultimately just a throwaway, single-movie recurring gag, or can we expect to hear more about it in Spider-Man 3?
The Likely Answer: Again, tough to say. Few among us are probably expecting the next Spidey movie to open with May and Happy's wedding or anything, but an ongoing relationship would be a cute way to keep Happy tethered to Peter.
Also, it would allow Happy to act as his surrogate Uncle Ben-type figure of sorts - albeit an extremely goofy version - especially in light of Tony's death and Mysterio failing to fill that role.
Given how few MCU romances truly work, they'd be silly not to revisit one that's actually pretty fun. So, it's an optimistic "yes", and hopefully it'll be as endearingly awkward as it was in this movie.
