5. Chameleon Will Link To Kraven

Rumour:

When Deadline reported that Numan Acar had been cast in Spider-Man: Far from Home and that he would be playing a character called Dmitri, the Internet immediately leapt to the conclusion that he would be playing Chameleon - whose real name in the comics is Dmitri Smerdyakov.

And since Chameleon is the half-brother of Kraven in the comics, that set further rumours in motion that we would get Kraven in Spider-Man 3.

Reaction:

The Kraven rumours have been around for a while, so that much wouldn't be all that surprising, and Homecoming already established that Sony and Marvel are willing to use other recognisable villains as henchmen and bit-part players for the sake of world-building.

If Chameleon is indeed working with Mysterio, the idea of two characters defined by illusions teaming up wouldn't be entirely illogical either.
