Spider-Man Movies: 7 Perfect Performances & 7 That Sucked

1. JK Simmons - J Jonah Jameson

J.J. Jameson Spidey Suit Spider-Man 2
Sony Pictures

You have to be really something for fans to want you to come back as much as we all wanted JK Simmons to return as J Jonah Jameson after Sam Raimi's trilogy ended and Sony went ahead with their not-so-Amazing reboot. You have to be even more of a special something to be offered the chance to come back to the same role a whole other reboot later!

And that's the best testament to JK Simmons' brilliance as the media titan who positions himself almost lovingly as a thorn in Peter Parker's spandex. He's an irritant with all the potential trappings of a monster (though he's limited by an adherence to a sort of moral code that other people seem to police in him).

He's hilarious and threatening at the same time and the opportunity to see more of him in the MCU is just the most wonderful gift the whole Marvel/Sony deal could ever have provided us.
