Spider-Man: No Way Home - 10 Biggest Questions It Leaves Unanswered

1. Was This Tom Holland's Last Spider-Man Movie?

By far the most pressing and important question following No Way Home concerns the future of Spider-Man in the MCU - namely, was this Tom Holland's final outing in the franchise?

The film's ending provides a tidy departure point for Holland either way, and though the actor had previously expressed interest in returning for more movies, he's also said that he doesn't want to continue playing the part into his 30s.

Despite producer Amy Pascal recently suggesting that another trilogy of Spider-Man movies are actively in the works, nothing has been formally hashed out between Sony and Marvel Studios yet, and so it remains to be seen what the future holds.

If the studios want another Tom Holland-starring trilogy of movies, though, they'll probably need to strike while the iron is hot, especially if the 25-year-old Holland's wider blockbuster career takes off with films like the soon-to-release Uncharted.

On the other hand, Holland is still younger than Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were when they played Spidey for the first time, so it's not inconceivable that we end up with a lower-stakes second trilogy focused on a more traditional New Yorker Spider-Man without the Avengers' involvement.

But equally, it wouldn't be at all surprising if Holland decided to move on and we got a series of Miles Morales-led Spider-Man movies next instead.

The possibilities are incredibly varied, and given that most of them have a lot of potential, there's plenty to be excited about regardless of the direction they go in.
