Spider-Man: Homecoming - 13 Biggest Rumours You Need To Know (July 4th)

As soon as the name hit the web, a lot of eagle-eyed comic book fans noticed that there was an early 1980s Spidey comic called Homecoming, in the aftermath of the Secret Wars event.

It was a mostly unremarkable comic, but the one thing that really sticks out is the fact that it saw the debut of the black symbiote suit that would kick off the Venom arc. Parker spent the duration of the comic testing out his new skills, just as he no doubt will with his new Stark-augmented suit from Civil War.

It's too soon to start bringing Venom in, particularly as Sony are keen to have their own spin-off for the character (without Marvel's direct assistance allegedly).

The Homecoming thing is also probably just a coincidence: though he is "coming home" after Civil War, it's nowhere near the same scale of displacement as Secret Wars saw, and there are few other jigsaw pieces that fit. If he gets his hands on a symbiote suit somehow, it would be a major, major shock.
