Star Trek: Every Starfleet Starship Class Ranked Worst To Best

This is another of the types of vessel that was designed to fight the Borg in Star Trek: First Contact, and another that continued on seeing service in the Dominion War and beyond.

The flat design, much like both the Akira and Sabre class vessels, made it difficult to target unless the enemy ship was above or below. The deflector dish is as protected as possible, dipping slightly below the saucer section while still somewhat safe. It is very similar the deflector dish found on the California Class, likely serving as inspiration for that class of ship.

The bussard collectors, attached to the saucer section, remove the drag of nacelles being separated from the rest of the ship. It is sleek, quick and powerfully armed - a great addition by Alex Jager.
