8. Star Trek III: The Search For Spock (1984)

And now we enter the realm of movies that aren't bad, merely average. Namely, this movie, Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. There's really nothing bad to say about it, but not really anything good either. It's just.... there. The plot follows the *SPOILERS JUST IN CASE YOU SOMEHOW DON'T ALREADY KNOW THIS STUFF* crew of the Enterprise returning to Earth after their fight with Khan that left Spock dead, and shot into space inside an empty torpedo shell. Upon arrival however, they learn Spock managed to transfer his living spirit into Doctor McCoy, and soon it may kill him. Thus, they take McCoy and head for the Genesis planet where Spock's casket landed.
The Good: Okay, so there are some good things. Christopher Lloyd plays an awesome bad guy, and the Klingon Bird-of-Prey is always a welcome addition to anything Star Trek related.
The Bad: As dramatic and important as it is to the plot, nobody likes seeing the beloved Enterprise engulfed in flames. *sniff*
The Ugly: Once again, some rough visual effects, but not too many. Also some hokey acting, but not too bad.
