Star Wars: 10 Actors Who Could Play The Young Han Solo
3. Aaron Taylor-Johnson
Who Is He? One of Britain's young exports to have made it big in the global box office, Johnson is a young man, full of talent. With his good looks, magnetism and gutsy characters, he has earned the approval of critics and audiences alike. Why He's Great For Solo: Taylor-Johnson is perfectly capable of carrying a movie. Arguably his most well-known role is that of Dave Lizewski in Kick-Ass. He nailed the role of the kid with hero aspirations, getting in ridiculous trouble but managing to survive it all. Then there is Godzilla. OK, the main role is a really big iguana, but Johnson's emotionally scarred but brave Ford Brody is the much needed loving son, father and husband in one of last year's biggest films. So far, you have comedy and action chops. How about drama? Well, there is Nowhere Boy. Here, Johnson plays a young John Lennon, practically frothing with creative ideas, indignant machismo and crushing heart-ache. Plus, he's playing a young version of an icon convincingly. Hint hint. On The Other Hand... While it can be said that Johnson proved his comedy talents in Kick-Ass, they were very much geared towards the fact that, in reality, he was a silly teen out of his depth. The kind of humour that Solo requires is more honest, rugged and cocky. Can Johnson pull this off without coming across as a bit of an arse? It's unclear at the moment.
