It quite simply wouldn't be Star Wars without a trip to a marketplace or cantina or sorts playing host to a wide variety of the galaxy's most eclectic beings.

And sure enough, Gareth Edwards was only all too happy to deliver the passing Easter Egg goods upon touching down on the eventually-doomed planet of Jedha.

Forcing many a double-take from the get-go was the emergence of A New Hope a-holes Evazan and Ponda Baba, known for being at the centre of a certain infamous amputation on Mos Eisley. But they were also joined by an RA-7 droid (also known for an A New Hope showing), a Viper Probe Droid, (first seen in The Empire Strikes Back), and an AT-ST (making its presence initially known in Return of the Jedi).

Elsewhere, Warwick Davis made his comeback to the galaxy far, far away via prosthetic creation, too, showing up as an alien creature working with Saw Gerrera named Weeteef Cyu-Bee.

Sadly, though, one cameo too far came in the form of former Solo: A Star Wars Story directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord's Jedha outing, with both former Star Wars helmers being dragged away from the shoot, despite being fully costumed up and ready to go, due to the shoot taking too long and Miller having to rush off to a meeting involving a school he wished his children to attend whilst shooting their then-incoming project.
