Star Wars: 10 Possible Standalone Films

4. Mandolorians

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEu_U78XFg4 Within the Expanded Universe, Mandolorians are some of the toughest warriors in the entire galaxy. Basically Spartans of the Star Wars universe, Mandolorians have trained all their lives in combat and have come into conflict with the Jedi over millennia, perhaps being the Jedi€™s secondary enemy next to the Sith. Like the Sith, however, there are few Mandolorians left in the galaxy who cling to their warrior past, a fact made evident in The Clone Wars series (a change which caused much controversy among Star Wars fans). After having received a lot of standout moments in The Clone Wars, not to mention the fan-favourite character Canderous Ordo in The Knights of the Old Republic video games, the Mandolorians would make a great fit for a cinematic adventure. This film could go several ways by either focusing on Mandolorians in the past, during The Clone Wars or after the Empire€™s fall, telling the story of their confrontations with the Jedi throughout history. For people who can€™t use The Force, it is amazing how capable they are fighting against both Jedi and Sith. One of The Clone Wars€™ most memorable scenes is Pre Vizsla, a Mandolorian clan leader, in a one-on-one fight with Darth Maul and actually holding his own against the revived Sith apprentice. Don€™t forget Jango Fett, a Mandolorian himself, actually defeated Obi-Wan in a duel in Attack of the Clones, further proving Mandolorians are more than due for an introduction to the mainstream audience.
