8. The Triumphant Return of the Millennium Falcon
An origin story for Han and Chewie is on the cards, but what about the ship that they know and we love? The Millennium Falcon became another icon of the Original Trilogy, becoming the figurehead of the insane special effects work that Industrial Light and Magic was capable of, as well as the epic scale of miniatures employed. Seeing Lando and Solo duke it out in an intriguing, high stakes card game, with the Falcon being won by Solo, would be a great, Casino Royale-esque break away from the action. Seeing Solo perform the famed 12 Parsec Kessel Run would be even better, no matter which direction they take inspiration from. And then there's the actual fighting. The epic introductory space battle of Episode 3 proved just how far the effects of the series had come, and seeing Solo, Chewie and the Falcon caught in a similar dogfight would be a welcome sequence.
