Star Wars: 10 Things Everyone Always Gets Wrong About The Jedi
Those Jedi facts and details that many a Star Wars fan often overlook.
Despite there being more material to consume than ever before on arguably the coolest group of protagonists the sci-fi/fantasy sphere has given birth to, it's not uncommon for even the most passionate of Star Wars fans to assume certain nuggets of information on the Jedi Order, and those who practised the ways of the Jedi, are fact.
In reality, though, many of these supposed "facts" aren't as strong with the Force as they initially seem.
So, dust off your finest robes and finish off any rock-floating exercises because the following collection of details, rules, and revelations hold the potential to change the way you perceive the galaxy's protectors forever. Or at the very least, give you some interesting trivia to bombard your helpless pals with at the pub.
What's the Order's real opinion on one of their members getting a little p*ssed off from time to time?

10. They're Not Allowed To Show Any Emotion
Throughout the Prequel Trilogy in particular, George Lucas paints his Jedi Order as a stoic group of Force-sensitive monks who simply refuse to showcase the faintest glimmer of emotion out of fears that it may consume them.
Or at least, that's what the average Star Wars watcher tends to take away from the days of the Galactic Republic.
In truth, though, the Jedi Order don't actually forbid their members from showcasing any and all heightened emotions. However, what is stressed from the minute a Force-sensitive soul begins their Jedi training is that one must learn to control their emotions and feelings; finding peace in even the most emotional circumstances.
The first line of the Jedi Code's mantra confirms the comforting thought process just about every Jedi finds themselves falling back on even in the darkest of times, that being "There is no emotion, there is peace."
So, far from outright denying their pupils the basic human response of being upset or frustrated on occasion, it is evident the Jedi simply want those learning the ways of the Force to not let said anger fester and grow out of control... that can lead to donning all black and a new shade of lightsaber, you know?
