Star Wars: 10 Things From Legends That Need To Be Made Canon

Tens of thousands of years ago, random people across the galaxy discovered they were attuned to the Force, allowing them to attain special powers. Using their abilities to spread peace, these Force-wielders forged The Jedi Order.

But when certain Jedi learned of the Dark Side, the misguided Force-wielders became known as the Sith and turned on their former allies. This conflict decimated the Order's base on Ossus, forcing the remaining Jedi to seek refuge on Coruscant.

The survivors, known as The Four Masters, discovered a shrine on this planet surging with Force energy. Although this energy was used by the Sith to amplify their power, The Four Masters decided to build their base there, turning the evil shrine into a force for good. Using its power, the quartet expanded their headquarters into a colossal ziggurat called The Jedi Temple, which was able to communicate with Jedi bases throughout the galaxy. With this new structure, the Jedi became far more efficient at wiping out Sith, allowing them to maintain peace for five millennia.

Even though The Four Masters were by no means the first Force-wielders, they are responsible for turning The Jedi Order into what it is known for today.
