Star Wars: 10 Things You Never Knew About General Grievous
4. The Jedi Hunter
With his training complete, Grevious was officially at the peak of his powers, and as the leader of the droid forces he quickly gained a reputation for his tactical brilliance and uncompromising cruelty.
According to Legends continuity, Grevious was actually present at the Battle of the Geonosis, which kickstarted the Clone Wars, but no one in the Jedi Order even knew he existed because the cyborg had left no one alive to tell the Council about him.
He eventually made himself known, though, and when he did he became known for his ability to kill Jedi in lightsaber combat. Though the official canon has his Jedi body count at around ten (with only one shown on-screen), Legends claims he killed over fifty Jedi during the Clone Wars, and collected each and every one of their lightsabers as souvenirs.
One of the General's most impressive feats takes place in the original Clone Wars cartoon, which finds him taking on six Jedi Masters - including Ki-Adi-Mundi and Shaak Ti - and killing most of them.
It was during this time that he began to clash with his greatest enemy and eventual killer, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who he grew to hate more than any other Jedi in the Order.
