9. Rogue One Will Feature Shadow Stormtroopers

It's already known that Rogue One will include Stormtroopers, which isn't too much a of a stretch given many of the events will centre on the Death Star. However, while reports last year indicated a return to the classic Stormtrooper witnessed way back in the first film (which, again, makes sense), Making Star Wars are now reporting that there will be a new (to the screen, anyway) kind of Trooper in the film as well. According to their sources, we're going to see "The black Stormtroopers with the silver eyepieces... in the movie." In other words, that would be the Shadow Stormtroopers, who have mostly appeared in the Legends (formerly EU) stories, and never in the canonical films or TV shows. Rating: 9/10 Making Star Wars is the place for Star Wars news, and their track record tends to be solid, and this doesn't really seem like the kind of rumour that would just be circulated without truth to it. The Shadow Stormtroopers may have mostly existed in the EU, but they're definitely a part of the Star Wars canon, as they appeared in last year's Battlefront. They look really cool, with their black armour equipped with a cloaking device, and that latter part in particular could fit in well with a film that is about spies. If the Rebels are using stealth, why not the Empire?
