There a lot of not-so-great things about Return of the Jedi, but one that makes just about every card-carrying Star Wars fan rage is the absolutely ridiculous demise of supposedly legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Now, Fett may not have had a particularly big role in the original trilogy, but fans loved him regardless, and seeing him ditched in such clumsy fashion (Han accidentally destroying his jet-pack, causing Fett to smash into a wall and fall into the Sarlacc pit) was majorly infuriating.

Throw in the weirdness of Harrison Ford's "Boba Fett!?" line being looped twice and Fett's undignified, cowardly scream, and you've got a collision of terrible creative decisions that make fans see red.

While the EU originally stated that Fett managed to survive, now that it's all been thrown out, he's back to being canonically dead. Sorry, folks.
