Star Wars: 7 Dream Anthology Films We Want To See
1. Obi-Wan Kenobi
A man with no name and a dark past wanders into a desert town. The town is overrun by criminals, and the citizens live in fear. He is reluctant to help at first, but he begrudgingly agrees. He manages to fight off the criminals and get the to leave town. The town celebrates, but before they can thank this mysterious strangers, he's gone.
The man is Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the town is on Tatooine.
This is the Anthology films Disney has to make. The classic man with no name Western wonderfully applies to Obi-Wan during the time between Episodes 3 and 4. The film would serve as a metaphorical penance for Kenobi as he struggles with survivor's guilt. He'd be hesitant to use his lightsaber because of the memories it brings, but by the film's climax he'd finally use during one amazing fight scene.
Ewan McGregor's performance as Obi-Wan Kenobi was one of the best aspects of the prequels, and the actor's vocal cameo in The Force Awakens suggests he is willing to revisit the series. With the right script, McGregor could masterfully display Kenobi's shift from Obi-Wan to Old Ben. If the fans are lucky, Disney is already working on this Anthology film.
Dream Team: I can think of no better director to welcome back Ewan to this role than his long-time friend and collaborator, the incredibly talented Danny Boyle.
