Conclusion

So using what I have observed I now have to try and come up with a title. Now this is where plot comes in. If we are carrying on straight from where ROTJ left off then the plot will be remarkably different than if we are starting six hundred years later. However there are a few more clues in the Internet rumour mill that we can use. Mark Hamill was supposedly the first person George Lucas told about Episode VII. So let's assume that he's going to be playing Luke again. Now Mark Hamill was 60 in 2011 and even though the new film won't be out for a few more years I would imagine Mark could still play 60 at this point. Now a quick online search of the Star Wars timeline tells me Luke was supposedly 22 at the end of ROTJ, meaning Episode VII is taking place 38 years later. So no drastic changes there then. Let's assume that the kids Luke had with Mara Jade are going to be popping up so they could help influence the title. So here we go. No more prattling along about how many words or how many years. All I have to do is combine all of these elements together and I should have myself the title for the next instalment of the Star Wars saga. And here it is...
Star Wars (obviously) Episode VII (still obvious) When Darkness Rises. There we go. Using all the clues from the previous part ones I came up with a title that is three words long and mysterious and obscure enough to (maybe) draw you in. I'm imagining that in the thirty odd years Luke's had a jolly old time restarting the Jedi Order and playing dad to his kids, but then he senses a disturbance in the force, and someone has a bad feeling about something, and someone probably loses an arm. Again I'd like to stress this is mainly guesswork. But if, when you do see that first trailer in the cinema, or that first poster at a bus stop, the title reads When Darkness Rises you will know two things to be true. 1. My theory was right. And 2. I'm suing the crap out of Disney.
