1. It Won't Reach Our Screens For Some Time

As shooting isn't scheduled to begin until July 2020, fans eager to see Obi-Wan's return will have to be patient.

As a rough guide to the timeframe for producing a Star Wars live action series, it's worth noting that filming for the first season of The Mandalorian wrapped in late February 2019 after a five month shoot. The series premiered just over eight months later for the launch of Disney+.

The second season, which is broadly following the same shooting schedule, is not expected to air until the Fall of 2020, meaning a period of at least six months is likely to be an accurate measure of time for post-production.

Using this information as a guide, it could be at least June 2021 before we see the Obi-Wan series on our screens: the silver lining in all this, at least for fans in the UK, is that we'll at least have access to Disney+ by then.
