Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 7 Predictions For The Trailer

3. It'll Ignore The Prequels

You can't make anything Star Wars without having to, in some part, fall back on nostalgia. The space opera's been around for thirty-five years, shaping entire generations, and so much of the excitement for The Force Awakens is based on the affections of fans worldwide. Of course, that now comes with a rather big caveat. Although they have their defenders, most of the fan-base are pretty united in their distaste towards the prequels. Why Episodes I, II and III are viewed worse than Order 66 is something for another time, but suffice to say, with the whole Episode VII enterprise being about moving the franchise forward, expect the trailer's aforementioned nostalgic approach to forget anything that happened after 1983. Fake trailers have used Duel Of The Fates, the brilliant score from the Darth Maul fight in The Phantom Menace, but that's a little misguided - The Force Awakens will do anything it can to distance itself from the prequels.
