Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Breakdown - 25 Things You Need To See

7. New Flying Effect

The famous flying effects in the original trilogy were created by having the camera move around static models, which naturally comes will some limitations. No such problems here. The camera clings close to the Falcon, promising some breathtaking spacefight action. It's reminiscent of the ships weaving in and out of the asteroids in The Empire Strikes Back, albeit with an incredibly modern sheen. Also notice the way the ship carves the air like a fighter jet. Star Wars has never looked so real.
