6. Starkiller Base - Episode VII
Another entry from The Force Awakens, but the battle of Starkiller Base is one of the better battles in the more modern offerings from the franchise.
The new characters all get their moment during this one, especially Poe Dameron, who, similar to Lando in Return of the Jedi, leads the assault against the First Order.
Like most good battles within Star Wars, it mixes a blend of near misses and potential disaster with moments of reprieve for our good guys.
Poe, as mentioned, is the star of the show while the X-Wings get their best run out since A New Hope as Princess Leia once again scores a victory.
Like most of The Force Awakens, the battle for Starkiller Base proved quite the experience for the cinema-goers amongst us.
