3. X-Wings In Flight
It's a film about the Rebel Alliance, so it makes sense that fans would expect for Rogue One to feature a healthy number of X-Wing flight sequences. You know, standard Star Wars stuff.
Which makes it all the more shocking that there's not a single in-flight X-Wing depicted with the frames of this teaser trailer. Not one! There are a few stationary vessels in the background of certain shots, yes (as seen above), but you won't catch any active s-foils in this trailer.
The X-Wings might have been omitted because they spoil key events in the film, perhaps, or for the simple reason that there aren't any X-Wing flight sequences in the film at all. If you can bear to imagine such a thing, there's a good chance that this particular Star Wars entry is all about espionage and ground warfare.
Then again, what kind of Star Wars movie about Rebels would dare to leave out such an iconic part of the saga? We'll have to wait and see.
