1. Princess Leia
This feels like the most obvious suggestion, something which means it's either completely wrong or Disney and Lucasfilm are doing exactly what fans are expecting by revisiting younger versions of characters like Luke, Han, and Leia. There's nothing wrong with that, and while it would be easy to get into a debate about how much Felicity Jones looks like Carrie Fisher, choosing talent over a lookalike is ultimately a much better decision. Jones is older than Fisher was when she was cast in Star Wars, but wouldn't really have a lot of trouble pulling off a version of the character before she was captured by Darth Vader. Princess Leia's upcoming comic book series is set to explore what she was up to between the events of a New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, but any time before, during or after the original trilogy could be open for Gareth Edwards to explore in his 2016 spin-off. The British actress would undoubtedly come under a lot of scrutiny if she does play Leia, but it's hard to escape the feeling that there are still plenty of stories which could be told with her. An Aaron Paul/Felicity Jones Han Solo/Princess Leia movie could be a lot of fun... Who do you think Jones should play in the Star Wars Spin-Off? And what about Aaron Paul? Have your say down in the comments.
