Aphra is very much a mystery as of right now as Star Wars fans won't actually get to meet her until the third issue of Kieron Gillen and Slavador Larroca's Darth Vader Marvel comic book series. Just like Star Wars Rebels is apparently introducing characters who might be featured in one of the movies in the new trilogy (or the spin-offs for that matter), there's every chance that Aphra could end up playing a pivotal role in a future live-action release. All that's known is that she was the foremost raider of lost weapons in the galaxy during the Galactic Civil War who Darth Vader turned to for assistance for reasons unknown. In terms of her appearance, she looks like the kind of kick- ass female character it's easy to imagine leading her own movie, and even though the cover above was drawn months before Jones was cast, there's definitely a resemblance. It depends on whether she survives meeting Vader.
