4. What's With This New Sith?

Both teasers for The Force Awakens so far have focussed heavily on our three (assumed) new heroes: John Boeyga as Finn, Daisy Ridley as Rey, and Oscar Issac as Poe Dameron. As yet unconfirmed from the core cast are what Domnhall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Max Von Sydow and Adam Driver are doing. The smart money is on some or all of them being bad guys since, well, historically that's what half of them have done, and the other half are young up-and-comers with serious faces who've year to appear in a trailer. At least, those serious faces of theirs haven't appeared. Because any sight of a Sith (or possible multiple Sith) in this new The Force Awakens teaser is already cloaked in mystery. And cloaks. And masks. There's another short burst of action featuring that dark so-and-so with the homemade red lightsaber last seen stumbling through the woods in the first teaser. And now there's also a close-up show of possibly the same guy, possibly not €“ it's hard to tell with the lightsaber in the background €“ apparently commanding Stormtroopers, breathing with a similar lack of confidence to Darth Vader, and maybe doing the force choke thing with his hand. Are one of those actors behind the mask(s)? How are there more Sith when Vader and Palpatine are dead? What is going on?
