Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 7 Biggest Unanswered Questions

1. Is Rey A Skywalker?

Rey is so obviously a Skywalker. You don’t cast an unknown actress who looks a bit like a young Carrie Fisherif you’re not making her one of the family. It beautifully fit the film's heavy rhyming structure and the trailers even started building up to some sort of big reveal.

And then... they just ignore it. In almost an anti-Khan, J.J. Abrams trolls the entire fanbase and gives us no reveal. He had mentioned it wouldn't be directly addressed before, but did anyone actually believe that?

So, ahead of a seventeen month wait for (possible) answers, who is Rey?

I still think she's Luke’s kid. I mean, she can't be a Solo because if she is Han and Leia are the rudest parents ever and why make a mystery out of her if she isn't a Skywalker? The parallels between her and Luke are pretty seismic too - same origin, same musical theme, both get a freaky vision. I bet he ran off on some secret Force mission and dumped her on Jakku for safety (another parallel), making that ending scene a little Skywalker reunion ahead of some father-daughter bonding/training.

Although the film keeps it vague enough she could just be the kid of ice cream maker guy.
