2. She's A Descendant From Another Famous Family With Links To The Force

I've covered a lot of possible connections Rey might have to famous Star Wars characters throughout this list, but it's worth noting that there are almost countless theories which point to her being somehow related to pretty much everyone and anyone, but one name pops up again and again - Count Dooku. Early rumours about The Force Awakens pointed to a key character being his descendant. But, c'mon. So much time has passed both in this world and since the return of Attack Of The Clones that Rey's name being revealed as "Dooku" likely would have little to no impact on moviegoers, so Disney committing to that reveals seems like a massive stretch. There's also been talk of Rey being related to characters from Star Wars Rebels (bear in mind that it was initially reported that the Disney XD series would set up the events of The Force Awakens in some way) as well as whoever Felicity Jones is playing in Rogue One. They're undeniably all interesting possibilities who would possibly work a lot better than some of the bigger names mentioned by fans, but they're also too obscure to have a significant impact. Disney need to be careful to avoid a predictable Kahn/Blofeld style reveal, but also need to make sure they don't pick on that falls flat, which stuff of this ilk certainly is.
