5. Boba Fett's Return Was Confirmed By The Trailers
The bounty hunter Boba Fett somehow became an iconic character, despite having about five lines of dialogue and dying in a really lame fashion. George Lucas admits that if hed known Fett would become so popular he would have found something better for the character to do, which is why his dad Jango Fett got a juicy supporting role in Attack Of The Clones. In the expanded canon Boba manages to escape the Sarlacc Pit, and fans remain forever hopeful this will apply to the new series too. They were so eager to prove it that they scanned the trailers until their eyes bled (probably), looking for the slightest hints. They managed to find a couple, including a Mandalorian banner flag hanging above the entrance to Maz Kanata's base, which is likely just an easter egg. The other piece of evidence was a shadowy figure standing near Kylo Ren, whose armour vaguely resembles Fett. Upon inspection though the character clearly isnt Fett, as the helmet and armour are actually completely different. So that's that.
