Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Power Ranking Every Character
8. Captain Phasma
There is absolutely no question that Phasma is this generation's Boba Fett and Darth Maul. She is immediately iconic, unquestionably marketable, and probably doomed to die an unsatisfying, horribly undignified death in the name of tying up loose ends. The chrome trooper might not be ranked as highly as General Hux, but there's very much a suggestion that she's going to be a force to be reckoned with, even if she won't have any access to the actual Force. We're probably looking at a situation where Phasma is over-powered in the interest of narrative tension - or the Terminator Factor, as it should be known - whose powers expire only when she's off absolutely no more use to the plot. Let's just hope Abrams avoids drawing too close a comparison to Fett or Maul when it comes to sending the character off into the great unknown. She's too good to be dropped out of existence, and Abrams should know that there will be fan clamour to have her survive to fight again in a sequel. The fact that the Empire will probably emerge in a stronger position at the end of The Force Awakens does at least suggest that as a possibility.
