One of the major new locations of The Last Jedi is a casino planet known as Canto Bight. It takes its lineage, as many of these weirdo locations (think Maz's Castle or Jabba's Palace) do from the Mos Eisley Cantina, but with a twist. Whereas they show the galaxy's seedy underbelly, this is all about its high society, with Johnson saying:

"[It's] a Star Wars Monte Carlo–type environment, a little James Bond–ish, a little To Catch a Thief. It was an interesting challenge, portraying luxury and wealth in this universe... Let’s create a playground, basically, for rich assholes."

This is where we can expect to find all manner of weird and wonderful creatures, even if they'll be a little better off than the ones we've become accustomed to. The Last Jedi reportedly includes "the biggest creature show ever created by Neal Scanlan". Given he worked on The Force Awakens, along with the likes of Babe, Little Shop of Horrors, and numerous Jim Henson productions, that's no small feat, and a number of them should appear on Canto Bight.
