Speaking of Kylo Ren, his biggest, most shocking act in The Force Awakens came when he killed his father. Not just any father either, but Han freakin' Solo.

Due to the incredibly fast-pace of the movie, there wasn't an awful lot of time to dwell on the moment in its immediate aftermath. There was a tender moment with Leia and Rey later on, but that was about the extent of it.

It's understandable, because the galaxy is at war, but losing a character as big as Han should still be accounted for properly. Mark Hamill has spoken of how he wanted Luke and Leia to be there for it, while Chewie's loss was mostly overlooked. A funeral scene could be a way of bringing all those old characters back together, something The Force Awakens wasn't able to do, and give a proper send-off to Han Solo.
