There are a ton of small voiceover cameos in this movie from Star Wars characters both iconic and more niche.

First off, Star Wars Rebels characters Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) and Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.) can be heard calling out to Rey during the final battle, along with The Clone Wars' Luminara Unduli (Olivia d'Abo) and Aayla Secura (Jennifer Hale).

In more prominent terms, the likes of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor), Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson), and Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson) can also be heard encouraging Rey, having all recorded snippets of new dialogue for the film.

Elsewhere, there are also brief cameos for Andy Serkis and James Earl Jones, who reprise the roles of Snoke and Darth Vader as transmitted through Palpatine's body during the film's opening sequence.

There's sure to be plenty of debate about the nature of all this fan service, but for fans of the wider canon, it was certainly interesting to see characters such as Ahsoka and Kanan integrated into the main Star Wars story.
