Stargate SG-1 Cast: Where Are They Now?

19. Teryl Rothery

Stargate Janet Fraiser
MGM

Serving as the Chief of Medicine for the SGC for the first seven seasons of Stargate SG-1, Janet Fraiser was always on hand to offer some caustic advice and tips to the team. She may not have been Dr. McCoy to their Spock, but Fraiser was widely respected by all.

Her shocking exit in the seventh season only served to show how much her character had gelled with the rest of the SGC. Teryl Rothery would, thankfully, return for a couple of guest spots after this. Once, she portrayed an Asgard scientist and later, she appeared as an alternate universe version of herself.

On leaving Stargate, she went on to appear in the Good Doctor with Freddie Highmore and currently appeares in Virgin River, a Netflix series about a nurse who moves to a small, Californian town.

Rothery is active on Twitter and maintains a website, though this has not been updated since 2018.
