Suicide Squad: 10 Lessons It Can Learn From Assault On Arkham

10. Everyone Needs To Hate Each Other

There€™s nothing quite like putting team of misfits together that don€™t want to play nice. It worked out well in Guardians Of The Galaxy, and if applied properly, this type of character ensemble could work for Suicide Squad as well. Put simply, these are a bunch of hardened criminals, being forced to work with other criminals whom they don€™t trust, on missions they don€™t believe in, under the threat of death. In Assault On Arkham, no one is happy to be there, and none of them are afraid to make that clear. Suicide Squad should look to capture that fascinating team dynamic, where everyone has different problems with each other. Specifically, they would be wise to adapt the relationship between Deadshot and Captain Boomerang. Though it's been in the comics for ages, the animated film did a great job of having the de facto leader Deadshot constantly butt heads with the show-off Boomerang. These sort of nasty interactions are atypical of superhero movies, and sticking to them could easily help this one stand out.
