Suicide Squad: 10 Theories About Jared Leto’s Joker
5. Hell Team Up With Lex Luthor
Suicide Squad producer Charles Roven told Empire Magazine that he thinks Jared Letos Joker is more social than previous incarnations of the character. Despite being totally sociopathic, hes also apparently a very successful and smart businessman. Many have taken this to mean that there could be a team-up on the cards between the Joker and another big villain from DC Comics lore. The top rumoured team-upper to-be is Jesse Eisenbergs Lex Luthor. The thinking is, that after the events of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Lex will end up meeting the Joker perhaps in prison, a hideout, or somewhere else entirely and forming an alliance. This pairing isnt unheard of in DC's comics or animated shows. Lexs brains and Jokers mania make for a powerful villainous combination, and could provide a truly difficult for the Suicide Squad and Ben Afflecks cameo-ing Batman to take on. Imagine the Joker with an indestructible suit and other heavy-duty tech. He wouldn't be easy to defeat, would he? This theory coming true would also help clarify an important detail: if Joker shares lots of scenes with Lex, thatd explain why hes not too central in the trailers. After all, if Jesse Eisenberg is in the film, Warner Bros might try to keep that under wraps. Perhaps there's a massive subplot for these two that's being kept secret.
